# The anti-raid bot that shuts the door of your Discord server

A raid is dozens of accounts joining your server within seconds to spam it, harass your members or make it unusable. Orion spots it from the first arrivals and blocks the rest, without you lifting a finger.

## Raid mode, turned on by itself

Orion watches the pace of arrivals on your server. As soon as the limit is reached, for example 5 joins in 10 seconds, it turns raid mode on for 1 hour and sends an alert to your logs, with the list of the accounts involved.

Members who join during raid mode receive a clear private message that explains what is going on.

## Filters at the door, even outside raids

Raids rely on accounts created in bulk and on bots. Orion filters them at the door, all the time.

- Captcha for new members, in a card with its expiry time
- Accounts that are too young get kicked, and banned for 1 day after 4 attempts in 24 hours
- Bots added without permission get kicked, unless a whitelisted member added them

## You stay in control

Everything is set from Discord with /settings: turn a module on, adjust a limit, and it’s live. Trusted members go in the whitelist, and your moderators are pinged only when it matters.
